As we head into our 30th Season, we are standing proud in our legacy of protest, bold storytelling, and action. As this tumultuous year is coming to a close, we are experiencing increasing hostility toward our communities. We know the year ahead will be a tough one. Despite that, we can’t help but express gratitude for you and the collective power we’ve built together. We trust that our mission to advance LGBTQ+ equity through community building, education, and performance will continue to guide us together.
Reflecting on this milestone anniversary, it’s clear to us that we are still here and strong because of you. If you were there in 1995 when About Face came to life with its first production, THE GIFT, you are why we are still here and strong. If you participated in one of the dozens of Youth Theatre ensembles uplifting gender expansion and justice, you are why we are still here and strong. If you joined us for the first time this spring for LAVENDER MEN and reimagined history with us, you are why we are still here and strong.
We need you now, so, let’s keep going. Help us raise $25,000 by the end of the year to ensure we stay strong. Will you stand with us and join this campaign?
Your donation of any amount will make a difference. A gift to this campaign will support:
- Touring performances of WE COULD BE, providing fact-based education on health, relationships, and consent for young people in Illinois;
- A fresh round of Re/Generation Studio workshops equipping creative leaders of all generations to dream big and use their story to change the world;
- Livable wage contracts for Chicago-based queer artists whose ideas and craft will expand how we see the world.
We can do this together. Thank you for being the best part of our legacy. We’re proud to stand strong and keep going forward with you.
